Fujitsu announces Strategic Partnership with Panaya to Accelerate Customer Migration to SAP S/4HANA

Our Global Strategic Partnership with Panaya to Accelerate Customer Migration to SAP S/4HANA

We have entered a strategic partnership with Panaya, an Israel-based IT service company providing impact analysis solutions and testing tools for cloud-based ERP/CRM applications globally, to further accelerate customer migration to SAP’s next-generation ERP solution, SAP S/4HANA. This partnership will lend robust support to the smooth migration to SAP S/4HANA for customers who have already implemented SAP solutions.

With the end of maintenance support for SAP’s ERP solution, SAP ECC, in 2027, the number of customers planning to migrate to SAP S/4HANA is rapidly increasing. SAP S/4HANA features cloud-based system streamlines and accelerate processing and provides sustainable value to the ever-changing business environments of customers. On the other hand, according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s “Survey of IT Human Resources Supply and Demand” (*), a supply-demand gap of 360,000 IT personnel is expected in Japan by 2025, with a shortage of highly specialized SAP engineers being a particular issue for the entire industry. Consequently, there are concerns that migration costs may rise, and project delays may prevent the completion of migrations before maintenance support ends.

Partnership Overview

Through our partnership with Panaya, we will leverage the strengths of both companies to support more customers in completing their migration to SAP S/4HANA smoothly by 2027.

Combining our extensive experience and knowledge gained from SAP migration projects, with Panaya’s technical capabilities to reduce project man-hours, which include impact analysis solutions and testing tools for cloud migration, we will conduct the following initiatives:

  • By combining our global IT resources with Panaya’s solutions, Fujitsu will provide SAP S/4HANA migration services that simultaneously improve quality and optimize costs.
  • Collaboration between our engineers and Panaya’s development department, sharing the technology, know-how, and knowledge necessary for SAP S/4HANA migration projects, with Panaya implementing it as a new feature of the impact analysis solution (automatic code correction functions such as add-on programs, etc.).
  • Panaya will improve the accuracy of impact analysis solutions based on our feedback, by leveraging AI to add proactive detection of standard bugs and critical notes to which reference should be made.

Going Forward

Through this partnership, we aim to achieve an overall 30% reduction in man-hours and timelines for SAP migration projects. With the end of support for SAP ECC approaching in 2027, this initiative will support over 100 customers globally to ensure the smooth implementation of their migration projects within the support deadline.
