Trombini started as a commercial company in 1941, by Mirtillo Trombini (later establishing a partnership with his family members) and it was transformed into an industrial group in 1971. It has constantly been modernized in order to be more and more competitive and competent in the fulfillment of the market demands.
Trombini is the second biggest manufacturer of multi-wall paper bags in Brazil and the fourth of Corrugated Cardboard Packaging, in addition to being one of the largest recyclers of paper for packaging in the country. And there is more, it develops wide pine and eucalypt forests, planned to be collected and replanted, complementing its sustainability and integration.

Anibal Tebet is Trombini Brazil’s IT Manager. He runs a team of ERP professionals that is responsible for Trombini Brazil’s Oracle EBS system. Trombini has more than 2,000 employees in Brazil and the IT/ERP team never has a moment to rest.
“In addition to our 2,000 employees, we have many key users. As you can imagine, they’re busy and it is always a challenge to align them with our ERP needs. No Oracle EBS R12 change is risk free; I needed to be able to mitigate the risk and time for the R12 Upgrade to make sure that we could go live on time with no critical failures in production.”
Trombini Brazil used Panaya for their Oracle EBS R12 upgrade. Given the Trombini business dynamism and a 24×7 operation, Panaya had the challenge to migrate the environment on time with no critical failures and an absolute minimum disruption on Trombini’s production operation.
Trombini leveraged Panaya’s SaaS solution to identify changes in existing extensions. Panaya suggested the best ways to adapt Trombini’s code in order to accelerate the conversion process and testing. In addition, Panaya’s dashboard enabled managers to control and monitor the progress of work during all the project.
