When it comes to quality assurance and delivery of application changes, every industry has its unique challenges. In the aviation industry, quality is not only key for airplanes and airports, but for the backend systems that align the majority of the airlines in the world – specifically, 280 airlines across 120 countries. The International Air Transport Association (IATA), responsible for regulating airline affairs worldwide and such a large, globally dispersed organization, needs to make sure that there are no defects affecting the organization whenever change is required – and today change is required continuously.
While not limited to aviation, Enterprise IT is moving toward introducing agility across the board meaning they must adopt modern ALM solutions which are collaborative for globally dispersed stakeholders and teams – business, development, QA and release teams – and which offer end-to-end visibility.
In an effort to become more Agile, IATA expanded its journey toward Enterprise Agile Delivery (modern ALM) by successfully integrating into its IT operations both Panaya Test Dynamix for end-to-end business process testing and Release Dynamix for change delivery.
Processing more than 2,000 tasks at any given time, Panaya Test Dynamix enabled IATA to cut testing time in half, while minimizing disruption and still meeting daily SAP maintenance and testing needs. In addition to Panaya Test Dynamix, IATA has leveraged Panaya’s Release Dynamix 2.0 (RDx) platform – for quick and safe application delivery. IATA is also exploring the possibility of integrating Panaya ForeSight for Salesforce.com into its delivery pipeline and workflow – a true testament to the value Panaya brings to the enterprise.
